District Partners

Each school district has chosen one staff member (or two) to act as a liaison between POPEI and the school district. These District Partners are familiar with the POPEI mandate and supports. One of the important functions a District Partner provides is to arrange for face to face workshops within his/her school district.

POPEI recognizes the valuable expertise of these professionals, who include Directors of Instruction, District Principals, Early Learning Coordinators, and Special Education Teachers, who act as liaisons with POPEI in addition to their regular job assignment. District Partners meet with the POPEI team for one or more meetings a year (online and/or face-to-face). The network of District Partners is a province-wide forum for sharing information and for supporting best practice in literacy instruction and early intervention strategies.
